Our The Woodlands, Conroe and Houston locations are individually owned and operated with the added benefit of being part of a modern Five Star national brand. Our staff is friendly and well trained to help you with our laundry equipment or to professionally wash your clothes with our convenient drop-off service. We are an active member of the Coin Laundry Association and we believe in giving back to the community by offering Free Laundry Day events with the Laundry Cares Foundation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the store hours?
Express Laundry Center Washateria & Laundromat is open every day from 7 am to 10 pm. Last wash is 9 pm.
What is last wash?
Customers must start their wash by 9 pm and are permitted to stay until clothing is dried and folded.
Do I need to bring quarters?
No. All machines are coinless and use a laundry card similar to a gift card. However, a change machine is available for vending machines and arcade games.
Can I have the remaining laundry card balance refunded?
No. However, you can reuse the laundry card as many times as you like. There is no laundry card expiration and you can always add more funds to the card.
What if I lose my laundry card?
If you register your laundry card we can issue a new laundry card with the last balance of your lost laundry card.
Can I combine the balance on two laundry cards?
Yes. Please ask an attendant to merge the two cards for you.
Do you accept credit cards and debit cards?
Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Can I purchase or add funds to my laundry card with a credit card?
Yes.
Is there an attendant on duty to help me with any questions or concerns?
Yes. An attendant is always on duty while we are open.
How long does it take for me to wash and dry my clothes?
We utilize state-of-the-art modern equipment. Most customers can wash and dry their clothes in one hour.
How much laundry can I fit in one machine?
We have washers ranging from 1 load to 7 loads and dryers that handle 3 or 4 loads.
Can I wash all of my clothes at once?
Yes. We have enough washers and dryers to do all of your laundry in one hour.
What if a machine I am using stops working?
Please ask an attendant for assistance. We will correct the problem or restart a new machine for you.
Do you provide internet service?
Yes. We offer free wi-fi to our customers.
What can I do while I wait for my clothes?
We offer large screen televisions, free wi-fi, arcade games, and vending snacks and drinks with table seating.
Do you sell cleaning supplies in case I forget or run out of detergent?
Yes. We vend a number of individual sized detergents, bleaches, fabric softeners, dryer sheets, and laundry bags.
When do I add the fabric softener?
Detergent, bleach, and fabric softener must be added to all front-load washers before starting the wash. Please ask the attendant for any assistance.
What happens if I press the emergency stop button?
Pressing the emergency stop button will empty the washer of any water and terminate the wash. You cannot open the washer door once the wash has started. Please ask the attendant for any assistance.
Is Express Laundry Center Washateria & Laundromat green?
Yes. We use Continental Girbeau E-Series front loading washers, which consume approx. 30 % less water than top loading washers and utilize 900 rpms, extracting speeds which cut the natural gas required to dry a load, and your dry time, by up to 50 %. Our water heaters are 96 % efficient.
Is the store clean?
Yes, in fact we take great pride in how clean we keep our stores. You will not find a cleaner Washateria or Laundromat in The Woodlands, Conroe and Houston! Please bring anything that needs cleaning to the attention of the attendant.
Can I wash comforters or blankets?
Yes. We have machines of all different sizes to handle your needs.
